Wenn sie fliegen, fliegen sie Leute raus und Flugzeuge rein. Es sieht nicht danach aus, als ob sich das ändern wird. Denke mal wenn die das Backlog durch haben, dann stoppen sie erst mal wieder alles. Denk mal in ner Woche wissen wir (zuverlässig) mehr.
Das scheint so zu sein. Wobei ich gestern und heute keinerlei Flugbewegungen im Kuwaits Luftraum sehen konnte (bei flightradar24).
Wir hatten für den Enkel als Airline für den Flug nach Deutschland Kuwait Airways gewählt, weil 1. günstiger als andere Airlines, 2. für uns optimale Zeiten zur Abholung in FRA (auch für den Rückflug) und 3., Kuwait Airport ist recht klein und überschaubar (besser für eine 17 jährigen Erstflieger).

The situation in the region is volatile and we expect airspace closures to be extended upon expiry. Jordan has decided to close their airspace during nighttime only. The United Arab Emirates has published a NOTAM for its airspace, defining it as partially closed. Meanwhile, the previous NOTAMs referencing so-called Emergency Security Control of Air Traffic (ESCAT) zones, remain in place. The latter appears to give local authorities flexibility and open up for airspace availability with short notice.

Heute habe ich die Umgegend im Sand erkundet. Es gibt einige Restaurants, eine Mall und noch so einiges. Nun gut, nicht vergleichbar mit Downtown, aber man kann ein paar Stunden überleben.
Es gibt in der Mall sogar einen Ägypter bei DU, der mir mein Smartphone wieder belebt hat. Ich war sein erster Luxusburger, er war sehr happy …
Die Airline hat mir mittlerweile auch bestätigt, dass 50 € / Pax / Malzeit kompensiert wird.
Wobei das Hotel jetzt ja direkt getragen wird, vom Geld sieht er nix. Frühstück ist hoffentlich mit drin.
Für die 50 Euro wirds was zu essen geben, aber viele Cocktails sind nicht drin.
Naja gibt ja vielleicht noch 600 Euro p.P. Fluggastentschädigung Das reicht in Dubai für … naja Cocktails für 2 Tage.
Wobei es so aussieht, als ob Luxair da vorgesorgt hat und die Gäste in ein Dry Hotel gesteckt hat. @Pusa haben die Cocktails Alkohol oder sind die nur bunt?
In the context of the crisis in the Middle East, the Luxembourg government, in close collaboration with Luxair, is exploring all options to organize rapid and safe non-commercial repatriation flights for the approximately 600 Luxembourgish travelers currently stranded in the region.
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Cooperation and Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works, as well as all relevant stakeholders, have in recent days identified several solutions, including non-commercial flights operated by Luxair in coordination with the government, which will be implemented gradually in the coming days.
In parallel, the Luxembourg Defence, in consultation with its partners, notably Belgium, is studying additional solutions using military aircraft such as the A400M or the MRTT fleet, to ensure the safety and speed of repatriation.
Luxair has already positioned a first non-commercial flight in Hurghada (Egypt), ready for repatriation depending on the evolution of the security situation. Currently, Muscat (Oman) could also serve as a departure point for flights.
A priority order will be established based on objective criteria, including families with children and individuals with certified medical conditions. Passengers will be contacted gradually by the MAEE consular assistance service to access the successive flights.
The safety of Luxembourgish travelers remains the top priority. Even though no flight can be confirmed at this time, all options are regularly reviewed and implemented in close coordination with the Luxembourg representation on-site, the aviation sector stakeholders, and local authorities.
Da hättest du was zu erzählen, damit fliegt nicht jeder. Ich wäre mal beinahe mit ner Transall in den Kosovo geflogen, ist leider nix geworden.
Das sind zwei Flugzeuge voll, das ist ja ein überschaubares Vorhaben. Ich denke nicht dass hier Grund zur Sorge besteht dass Du bald rauskommst.
In einer Cargo-Maschine?
Was das ganze aber zeigt: alle, die die Region als Transit auf ihrem Flug hatten, werden jetzt anderswo lang müssen. Alle Beteiligten werden den Teufel tun neue Leute einzufliegen wenn aktuell noch nicht mal alle raus sind die raus sein sollten. Das ist noch nicht zu Ende.
Natürlich kommen erst die Transitleute dran, die mit den ölgetränkten Sandkästen eigentlich nix am Hut hatten.
@Pusa hatte ja bis gestern selbstgewählten Abenteuerurlaub im Sandkasten gebucht. Der ist auch voll eingetreten, aber nicht so wie erwartet und mit ungeplanter und auch undefinierter Verlängerung.
In Dubai Production City (ehemals IMPZ) bist du primär auf das Angebot vor Ort angewiesen, da die Gegend eher industriell/wohnwirtschaftlich geprägt ist. Du kannst fußläufig den City Centre Me’aisem besuchen (Einkaufen, Restaurants, Fast Food). Zudem gibt es Wohnsiedlungen mit kleinen Parks und Supermärkten wie Carrefour. Für mehr Optionen ist ein Taxi nötig.
Aktivitäten in fußläufiger Nähe (Dubai Production City):
City Centre Me’aisem: Ein kleines Einkaufszentrum direkt in der Anlage mit Supermarkt, Restaurants, Cafés und Geschäften.
Spazieren & Wohnanlage: Die Gegend ist modern, aber sehr autozentriert. Ein Spaziergang durch die Wohngebiete (z.B. Lakeside) ist möglich.
Supermärkte: Es gibt Carrefour oder kleinere Lebensmittelläden (Choithrams) im Umkreis, um dich zu versorgen.
